Three multiparameter probes for water quality

Tecnopenta has completed the installation of three monitoring stations for the continuous control of surface water quality along a river section in Northern Italy. The intervention is part of an environmental monitoring project aimed at real-time monitoring of the main physico-chemical water parameters.

A complete environmental monitoring system

Each station consists of:

• 70 mm multiparameter probe
• FlexLog data logger
• GPRS communication module
• Photovoltaic power supply system with regulator
• Pole/wall-mounted technical cabinet
• Dedicated web server for data management

The installed probes continuously measure:

• Dissolved oxygen (optical method)
• Temperature
• Water level
• pH
• Redox potential
• Electrical conductivity

This enables a complete assessment of the qualitative status of the water body and early detection of potential anomalies.

Installation along the river section

The intervention area is characterized by:

• embanked river stretches;
• lateral wetlands;
• secondary channels;
• high-value natural areas.

Project planning allowed identification of strategic installation points to ensure:

• data representativeness;
• coverage of the entire monitored stretch;
• easy maintenance access.

Installation was carried out by the Tecnopenta team with pole mounting and integration of the autonomous power supply system.

Data transmission and remote management

The stations transmit data via mobile network to a dedicated web server.

The system allows:

• real-time visualization;
• historical data storage;
• data export for environmental reports;
• remote configuration of acquisition parameters;
• management of thresholds and notifications.

This enables operators to maintain constant control of water quality without the need for continuous on-site inspections.
