Seismic Piezocone, CPTU and SCPTU - Tecnopenta
The seismic piezocone is a benchmark tool for in-situ geotechnical investigations. Through CPTU (Cone Penetration Test with pore pressure measurement) and SCPTU (Seismic Cone Penetration Test), it provides a detailed soil characterization by measuring cone resistance, pore water pressure and seismic wave velocity.
This data enables the definition of stratigraphic profiles, evaluation of soil consolidation and estimation of dynamic geotechnical parameters, making it essential for stability studies, foundation design and local seismic response analysis. The instrument is widely used by geotechnical engineers, universities and research centers for field testing on natural soils and fills.
