Globe Thermometer
The M1-GT globe thermometer is suitable for measuring the mean radiant temperature (MRT), a key parameter in assessing microclimatic conditions for environmental well-being.
The instrument consists of a very thin copper metal sphere (15 cm diameter), coated with matt black paint featuring an emittance (E) of 0.95. This ensures effective absorption of thermal radiation from the surrounding environment.
Inside the sphere is a Pt 100 sensor, providing accurate temperature readings in field monitoring for applications in meteorology, geotechnical engineering, and environmental studies.
The spherical shape approximates the human form, making it suitable for simulating heat exchange processes relevant in thermal comfort analysis and climate control systems.
