Double receiver seismocone

The G1-CONE 2S is a dual receiver seismic piezocone designed to perform seismic testing for calculating the VS30 value using the true interval method.

The instrument is equipped with two seismic receivers placed 1 meter apart. The measured delay between the receivers allows for the calculation of shear wave velocity (S-waves) within the soil layer between the two sensors.

Compatible with D1-CPLS Blue acquisition control units.

The image above shows the arrival of two wave trains generated by energizations producing shear waves. The first wave train is detected at depths of approximately 4 and 5 meters, while the second reaches the receivers at around 9 and 10 meters. From this early processing, the 1-meter soil interval between the two receivers and its effect on wave propagation can be clearly identified.
