Structural control

The magnetic settlement meter is designed for the monitoring of ground settlements, consolidations, and any process that causes a reduction in soil layer thickness.

System Components

• Internal PVC tube welded to a pointed bottom terminal for easy insertion into the borehole.
• Deformable external corrugated tube integral with the soil mass.
• Magnetic rings fixed at predefined depths using metal springs or rigid PVC plates.
• Suspension head for topographical feedback.

Functionality

Using a probe capable of detecting magnetic fields, the system detects the relative movement of magnetic rings positioned along the settlement column, allowing the measurement of soil displacement.

Applications

This instrument is used to measure land settlement and subsidence, phenomena typically associated with the construction of road embankments, levees, or earth dams.

It consists of a series of magnetized rings installed at various depths in a borehole, anchored to the surrounding soil. Changes in their position are monitored with respect to fixed reference points using a portable battery-powered probe.

Available Probes

Compatible with the G1-AM 10 magnetic settlement gauge probe, equipped with a millimeter flat cable, and both acoustic and luminous indicators for precise ring detection.
