Tecnopenta has developed D1-VISIO, a display unit dedicated to the reading and management of load cells, designed for laboratory applications, weighing systems and sensor calibration activities.
The device was developed to provide a compact, reliable and configurable unit capable of acquiring voltage signals from load cells with nominal sensitivity 2 mV/V and converting them into values immediately readable in engineering units.
D1-VISIO acquires the signal with 24-bit conversion and uses 18 effective bits for display management. The value is shown on a 16×2 alphanumeric display in divisions, with six digits and no decimals, ensuring stable and consistent readings even during progressive load tests.
Signal amplification is handled by an internal PGA (x128), eliminating the need for an external amplifier stage and allowing direct reading of load cells powered at 5V with millivolt-level output. This configuration ensures proper management of the full sensor dynamic range while maintaining high operational resolution.
D1-VISIO is equipped with physical buttons for immediate and intuitive operation. One button enables data reading and, when required, saving measurements to SD card.
This function is particularly useful during load testing, periodic verification or calibration activities, where measurements must be archived for later analysis.
A dedicated zeroing button allows quick system reset before starting a new test cycle, eliminating offsets and ensuring accurate force measurement.
This dual functionality — reading/saving and zeroing — makes the system practical and suitable for both laboratory and test bench applications.
In addition to local visualization, the device enables SD card data logging, allowing storage and later transfer of test data.
Integrated Bluetooth communication allows real-time data transmission to a PC during monitoring or calibration activities, simplifying verification and commissioning procedures.
D1-VISIO was developed in a customized configuration for the management and calibration of existing sensors, with flexible signal handling tailored to application requirements.
The device is housed in a compact technical enclosure with a dedicated front panel layout designed and manufactured by Tecnopenta.
