DESCRIPTION
The I1-INF DC constant load infiltrometer (permeameter) is designed to measure the vertical permeability of loose soils.
The infiltrometer is made up of two AISI 304 stainless steel rings which are inserted concentrically into the ground. The internal ring is fed by a flow of water which keeps the water load constant on the ground and inside the ring itself.
The tank equipped with a graduated rod allows the quantity of water dispersed in the ground to be read.
The two concentric rings drastically reduce errors due to the uncertainty of the flow direction because the purpose of the external ring is precisely to generate a flow that is not interesting for the measurement but which ensures the vertical direction of the flow generated in turn by the internal ring.
