DESCRIPTION

Instrumentation that allows you to characterize the hydraulic conductivity or determine the permeability coefficient (k) directly in situ. The kit is designed for variable load tests which are particularly useful on fine grained soils with low hydraulic conductivity. Performing tests on coarse-grained soils is potentially possible but is problematic from an implementation point of view.

The instrumentation consists of:

a stainless steel cylinder with a diameter of 100 mm closed in the upper part by a PVC cap.
a PVC cap equipped with a series of fittings and taps that facilitate filling and venting of air as well as allowing you to connect one of the two burettes supplied.
the two burettes which have different capacities in order to allow easy readings on different types of soil.
the soft connecting pipes.
an auger of a diameter compatible with the steel cylinder that must be driven into the ground.
