The I1-Multip 44 multiparameter probe by Tecnopenta is designed for water monitoring and enables simultaneous measurement of multiple physicochemical parameters.
With a compact diameter of only 44.5 mm, it can be installed in piezometers, monitoring wells and other measurement points where available space is limited. Its compact and robust construction makes it particularly suitable for continuous groundwater monitoring and aquifer monitoring.
The probe can simultaneously acquire up to five parameters. Standard configurations include measurement of water level, temperature, electrical conductivity and pH.
Optional measurements include Redox potential and specific ions, including NH4+ and Cl-, with other ions available on request.
The level sensor includes barometric pressure compensation and allows the probe to be used for piezometric monitoring and groundwater control applications.
The maximum depth specified for standard configurations is 20 metres. The system can be supplied with customised connection cables up to 100 metres long, depending on installation requirements.
The I1-Multip 44 is available in a version with external power supply and in a version equipped with an integrated data logger and rechargeable battery.
The data logger version allows autonomous measurement acquisition, while externally powered versions can be integrated into monitoring and data acquisition systems.
Water level can be measured over a 0–20 metre range using a differential sensor. Temperature is measured from −5 °C to +55 °C, while pH covers the 0–14 range.
Conductivity measurement is available in ranges up to 6,000 mS with autoranging and up to 60,000 mS, depending on the selected configuration.
The optional Redox measurement range is ±1100 mV.
Measurement data are available in digital format via standard communication protocols, enabling integration with data loggers, monitoring systems and software for data acquisition and management.
The probe features an RS485 serial interface and can be configured with Modbus protocol for applications requiring advanced communication.
RS485/RS232 or USB interface converters and dedicated software for acquisition, calibration and data analysis are also available.
Multiple probes can be networked to a central data logger to create multiparameter water monitoring systems at different sites.
The system can support alarm and remote control functions, including automatic SMS notifications or activation of devices such as pumps and relays.
The groundwater multiparameter probe is suitable for monitoring aquifers, wells, piezometers and environmental monitoring networks.
The ability to measure several parameters simultaneously reduces the number of instruments required and provides an integrated view of water conditions at the monitoring point.
